The only other high school in the nation that has generated 2 Heisman Trophy champions is Dallas' Woodrow Wilson High School. Tim Brown in 1987; Davey O'Brien in 1938. Steve Miller of The Steve Miller Band and Dusty Hill, the bassist for ZZ Top, both graduated from the school. As well as Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Lawrence Wright.
